About

There are things in our lives we need on a regular basis. From food to beauty products to household goods, we all consume Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and spend up to eight years of our lives shopping - racing from a late meeting to make it to the supermarket before it closes, searching for a parking lot, screening the assortment, looking for products, waiting at the checkout and carrying all the heavy crates home. Surprisingly, still only 0.5% of FMCG shopping happens online today.

In just a couple of years, new technology will completely transform the way people discover and purchase everyday supplies by enabling a more time-efficient and convenient shopping experience that is inspiring at the same time - like finding the perfect recipe for your dinner along with the right wine and getting all the items delivered to your doorstep exactly when you need them.

No matter if it’s through intelligent subscription models, Internet of Things integrations or dynamic recipes shoppable with just one click - the upcoming ecomhack Cologne is all about new technology and creative ways of making buying items from food and drinks to baby-diapers to light-bulbs more personal, more convenient – and more fun.
